Harvey, described as an “immensely popular young boy“ whose smile could “light up the room,” was stabbed twice in the chest with a hunting knife on Monday, February 3rd at 12:17—just seven minutes into his lunch break. The knife “went through his ribs and punctured his heart.”

On Thursday, February 6th, the teenager responsible—who can’t be named for legal reasons—was brought before Sheffield Crown Court and charged with murder, possession of a bladed article and affray over the incident.

Judge Jeremy Richardson KC remanded the teenager into a youth detention accommodation and notified him that his trial is scheduled to take place at the end of June throughout July—lasting an expected total of 4 weeks.

No plea was entered by the teenage killer who sat in the dock wearing a grey tracksuit.

Caroline, Harvey’s mother recalled her sons last words to her on Monday before he left their home to go to school, “I love you.”

Mrs Willgoose described her son as "a joy to be around" who was "the life and soul of the party.”

She included that her son “loved football, football was his life. He was going to be an actor at one point, I think he would have been good at it."

Mark, Harvey’s father said his son was his “best pal” and was a “loveable rogue”

Members of the community along with friends and their families left tributes to Harvey who was a massive Sheffield United fan, outside his school and outside Bramall Lane stadium—home to Sheffield United FC.

A Mass was held today, Saturday, February 8th, at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Handsworth in remembrance of Harvey.

The streets of Sheffield were filled with an overwhelming turnout of friends and community members who came together to honour Harvey’s memory in an anti-knife crime march. The march began at the City’s Town Hall and continued to Bramall Lane football stadium, echoing the urgent message along the way: “Lives Not Knives.”

There was also a minute's applause as the clock struck the 15 minute mark during the match between West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday, earlier today.

Caroline said her son "would love it" to see supporters of different clubs singing his name. She included that fans of Sheffield United's rivals, Sheffield Wednesday, had even been heard "shouting his name" on trams in the city during their travels and a number of Portsmouth fans also joined the pre-game march.
